lean Water for Haiti is a faith based, volunteer run, non-profit mission. We exist to provide the people of Haiti with affordable access to clean water in their homes through the use of Biosand water filters.
Why Biosand water filters? Haiti has a water problem. Most water sources are contaminated. Most people can't afford expensive filtration systems, and can't afford to buy treated water. They have no choice but to use the contaminated water. Biosand filters work. Simple. Inexpensive. Effective.

FHED, Inc prides itself on being a source of knowledge and expertise for other grassroots associations and organizations that are already engaged in development. FHED's staff pursues this mission by addressing key policies issues and bringing the expertise and direct knowledge to the field. Since our establishment in 2000, we have given special attention to rural development by establishing food security in rural Haitian communities, transforming land and lagoons into successful food production sites, and providing educational development training to better the lives of marginalized citizens. Providing for the increasing demands in the areas of education, health care, and sustainable agriculture are some of the challenges that FHED, Inc faces as a non-governmental organization.

HAITI: SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL distributes drinking water Our emergency team is supplying drinking water on a daily basis for 60,000 people living in makeshift camps in the Bourdon, Delmas and Peguy ville neighbourhoods in Port au Prince. We are also installing hygiene and sanitation facilities and distributing essential products.

ACTED focuses its intervention in Port-au-Prince in the neighborhood of Portail-Léogane and Carrefour-Feuilles, poor areas where the populations had no or little access to public water network or sanitary facilities.
