The community of Gressier residing in the United States founded an association, Committee for the Advancement of Gressier-Haiti, on April 16, 1991 commonly referred to by the acronym CAGH. CAGH is a non-profit organization that provides services in education, health care, and aid in project development to the communities of Gressier. Since its inception, CAGH’s main objective has been to participate and contribute to the development of the commune of Gressier.

Consortium for Haitian Empowerment (C.H.E) is the product of a Haitian task force launched in the fall 2001 to assess and address the impact of September 11th on the local Haitian community. Using the result of this assessment, Executive Directors of organizations represented at the Task Force, clearly understood the necessity to combine their efforts and services to better coordinate and improve service delivery to constituents/clients. In 2002, they decided to form a lasting coalition as a foundation for crisis interventions and preventions, as well as for services coordination, advocacy and networking. Supported by New York Foundation, members structured the Haitian Task Force, and in June 2004, incorporated it as The Consortium for Haitian Empowerment (CHE).

Constructive Dialogue was founded with the premise that Haitians, especially those who live overseas can participate in the development of their country at different levels. Tourinord is an organization dedicated to promote tourism and economic development in the Northern Region of Haiti. We want to help the people of the North and Northern Haiti improve their living condition with a series of rural and other sustainable development projects.

All activities that may be useful in all 10 geographical departments in Haiti. Future Projects: We hope to convince Haitians and friends of Haiti to put their resources together in order to invest in projects susceptible to create jobs both in Haiti and the Diaspora.

FHED, Inc prides itself on being a source of knowledge and expertise for other grassroots associations and organizations that are already engaged in development. F.I.D.NA Foundation Isabelle Pour Le Development De Navarre near Jeremie, Haiti is providing free health care and education to the people of Navarre, the majority of whom are farmers. With a very high illiteracy level in Navarre, FIDNA is giving nearly 100 kids the opportunity to receive a free education. FIDNA continues to work with donors to provide means of transportation, drinking water, shelter for the poor people, food for children at school, housing for the old and homeless peasants. The Friends of Haiti is a nonprofit organization operating as one interconnected family with the people living in the four sections of Thomazeau, Haiti. We are devoted, through our mutual efforts, to improve their health, education and economic development.

The Friends of HaiTi is a volunteer organization that strives to improve life for the Haitian people without changing their culture. Clean water, education for all children, access to Medical Care and the Community of Hope, which provides adequate housing, are the focuses of our work. Child Sponsorship provides a quality education for a child, including a uniform, one hot meal a day and good Christian role models.
